Apart from building the yurt and mini projects, the most favorable of all the design models would be the 16 ft. diameter cabin.
In this design there are six 8 ft. outer wall panels with a yurt roof. It's the perfect survival cabin for an individual or couple. Rain water is harvested and stored under the platform. Septic waste is gathered in tanks designed to fit under the platform where bacteria is used to digest it. The hexagonal pads can be modified with in floor hot water heating using a simple intuitive technology as the heat source. The heating system also supplies source heat for cooking and baking.
Wouldn't you like to have a cabin that is movable and can be set up most anywhere? Where your set up to harvest and store rain water. Alcohol would would work well as a renewable fuel source to run the heating system. Having a built in crawl space gives you a number of advantages compared to camping on the ground. You could turn a whole mountainside into a yurt village using the relocation platforms. Land that would normally be unsuitable for most types of structure.
If the under structure is closed in, then you would have room for chickens, rabbits for eggs and meat. Or it would make the perfect shelter for dogs and cats.
For the thousands of homeless in Sacramento, CA, this would be a viable solution to establish functional and sustainable communities. Comments welcome.
